The short version
- We collect what we need to show you live music and to email you when artists you follow announce shows.
- We advertise on Instagram and Facebook. When you follow an artist, confirm your email, or click a ticket link, our server tells Meta. Meta uses this to report how our ads perform and may use it to decide who sees ads.
- We don't put Meta's tracking code or cookies on this site.
- You can stop our emails, switch off sharing with Meta, or ask us to delete your data.
What we collect
- A random visitor ID in a cookie, so we can count visits. It doesn't contain your name or email. A second cookie remembers your city.
- Your approximate location, worked out from your IP address, to show the nearest city. We don't keep your IP address with your visits.
- Your email address, when you follow an artist or sign in, so we can send you new show emails. If you set a password, we store only a scrambled version of it.
- What you do here: the artists and cities you follow, the ticket links you click, and which artists we've recommended to you.
- Searches: the words you search for, with nothing that identifies you.
- Which ad brought you here, if one did: the campaign name, the ad name, and the click code Meta adds to the link.
- Email activity: whether our emails reach you and whether you open them or click a link, as reported by our email provider.
- Feedback you send us as a beta tester, including any screenshot you attach.
Who we share it with
Meta (Instagram and Facebook)
When you follow an artist, confirm your email, or click a ticket link, our server sends Meta what happened and when. It also sends the page it happened on (with any sign-in or confirmation codes removed), your IP address and browser description, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address if we have it, and Meta's click code if you came from an ad. We send this whether or not you came from an ad.
Meta uses it to show us how our ads perform. It may also use it to choose who sees our ads and to improve its ads. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy. We delete our copy of what we sent once Meta accepts it, or after about a week if it never does.
Companies that run the site for us
Vercel hosts the site, Neon stores our database, Resend sends our email, and GitHub stores beta feedback. They use your information only to provide those services to us.
We don't sell your information for money. Some state laws treat sharing it with Meta for advertising as a "sale" or as "targeted advertising". You can opt out of that below.
Your choices
- Stop emails: every email we send has a link to pause or stop them.
- Stop us sending your activity to Meta: turn on Global Privacy Control, a privacy setting in your browser. It's built into Brave, DuckDuckGo and Firefox, and available as an extension for other browsers. When your browser sends it, we don't tell Meta about anything you do here.
- Stop Meta using your activity from other sites: in Instagram or Facebook, open Settings, then Accounts Center, then Your information and permissions, then Your activity off Meta technologies. Choose Manage future activity, then Disconnect future activity.
- See or delete your data: email shows@tktlist.com with the subject "Privacy request". We'll reply within 45 days.
Children
tktlist isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
